Conception Calculator

Purpose: Estimate your likely conception date and fertile window from either your last menstrual period or your due date.

Conception Calculator

The Conception Calculator identifies your fertile window and estimated ovulation day from your menstrual cycle, to help with planning or understanding conception.

Finding the fertile window

Ovulation typically occurs about 14 days before your next period. Since sperm can survive several days, the fertile window spans roughly the five days before ovulation and the day of ovulation itself. The calculator uses your last period date and cycle length to estimate this window.

Working out a likely conception date

If you are already pregnant, it can also estimate when conception likely occurred, based on ovulation timing. Bear in mind cycles vary month to month and ovulation can shift, so these are estimates. For fertility concerns or precise tracking, a doctor and ovulation tests give more certainty.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is my fertile window?

It is roughly the five days before ovulation plus ovulation day. Ovulation usually happens about 14 days before your next expected period.

How accurate is the estimate?

It is a guide based on average cycle timing. Real ovulation varies, so ovulation tests and body-temperature tracking add precision.

Can it estimate my conception date?

Yes. From your cycle details it estimates the likely ovulation and conception window.

Does cycle length affect the result?

Yes. Longer or shorter cycles shift the ovulation day, which is why the calculator asks for your typical cycle length.
