All Tools: How It Works
This page lists every tool on the site. With well over a hundred of them, the list itself is the least useful way to find something — so this page is mostly about the faster routes.
Faster than scrolling
| If you | Do this |
|---|---|
| Know roughly what the tool is called | Use search — it matches names, tags and descriptions |
| Know the kind of task | Browse by category |
| Use the same few tools repeatedly | Save them to favourites |
| Are not sure a tool exists | Search the task, not the tool name |
That last one matters: searching 'compress' finds the image and PDF compressors, and searching 'convert' finds every converter across formats. Describing the job usually works better than guessing what the tool is called.
The categories
- Calculators and Maths — arithmetic, statistics, geometry, number theory.
- Finance — loans, investments, tax, currency, inflation.
- Health — body composition, energy needs, pregnancy dates, pacing.
- Text — counting, converting, comparing, cleaning.
- Developer — JSON, JWT, regex, encoding, cron, colour.
- SEO — meta tags, schema, sitemaps, redirects, keyword analysis.
- Image and PDF — conversion, compression, resizing, merging, splitting.
- Security — passwords, IP, DNS, SSL, WHOIS, VPN checks.
- Date and time — durations, working days, week numbers, age.
- World, Weather and Tamil — reference data, conditions, calendar and Thirukkural.
- Lifestyle and Entertainment — everyday calculators, quizzes, reference lookups.
What most of these tools have in common
The majority run entirely in your browser. Text you paste, files you convert, numbers you enter and passwords you generate are processed on your device and never transmitted. The exceptions are the tools that necessarily consult an external service — weather, currency rates, DNS and WHOIS lookups, and the AI assistant — which send only the query needed to answer.
This distinction is worth knowing generally, not just here. Any online tool handling a file, a password or a block of text is a decision about who sees it, and it is worth checking whether processing happens locally before pasting anything sensitive into one.
Using them well
- Bookmark the three or four you use most. Everything else is a search away.
- Read the explanation below a tool once. Most of them cover the mistakes that make results wrong.
- Check units and formats before trusting a result.
- Keep originals when converting or compressing files — those operations are not reversible.
If something is missing
The collection grows based on what people ask for. If a tool you expected is not here, the contact page is the fastest route to suggesting it — and reporting something that produces a wrong result is genuinely useful, since a calculator that is quietly wrong is worse than one that is absent.
